Google is set to expand its Nexus range with the Nexus Prime before the end of the year and Samsung is responsible for the hardware powering this smartphone. It will be used to launch the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update, a major revision for Google`s mobile operating system. This will be making its debut on a phone with a 4.65 inch Super AMOLED Plus display toting a resolution of 1280×720 for pixel-perfect imaging and clarity. A 1.5GHz dual core processor will be available, cementing this clock speed as the de facto standard for any mobile which wants to battle against its contemporaries.
Of course Android smartphones do not have the monopoly on dual core processors, what with Apple getting ready to launch the fifth iPhone using a cutting edge CPU as one of its founding features. Microsoft will also be hoping to get dual core chips into the Windows Phone 7 family in the near future.
